I Am Age
I was asked to write about the idea of renovation. And I started about 5 drafts. All slightly different. Some better than others. I often like metaphors connected to building and construction and deconstruction. The layers of nuance available for writing when we think in terms of foundations and walls, windows, shelter, home.

Sometimes when I write all cylinders are firing and it is smooth as silk. The flow takes me into phrases and words that express exactly what I want to communicate.
But usually, it’s Jeremy Bearimy (any The Good Place fans out there??!). *
This piece came out of Jeremy Bearimy (any my amazing editor Leah *smooch* who drew this out of me).
Reflection, awareness, renovation and deconstruction are beautiful and empowering.
And so is standing tall and saying, I’m good, I’ve got this.
